Every Friday for the last 92 weeks I’ve written this newsletter.
Come rain, come shine, come late night Thursday edits I’ve held firm in my commitment to consistency. And it’s really paid off.
Now, 21 months later, I’ve…
Developed and refined a unique writing voice that can’t help but use endless anecdotes, analogies and alliteration.
Collaborated with so many writers, thinkers and simply awesome people who’ve taught me so much about their unique perspectives.
Published over 90,000 words on self-mastery, careers and the future of work that will become the backbone of the book I plan to write in 2024.
All while growing an engaged audience of 780 of you who choose to read my emails as they land in your inbox every week.
(which is super appreciated btw).
But, now I need a break.
Not just to reflect, rest and recharge. But, also to take stock of the role I want this newsletter to play in my career going forward. Do I still want to publish weekly? Do I want to add more evidence, interviews and research to my self-applied theories? And is there a better newsletter name that more accurately reflects the topics I want to continue writing about?
All good questions to which I plan to find some answers.
So, for the next 4 weeks while I figure these things out I won’t be writing any more newsletters. Instead, I’ll be intentionally dropping the hamster wheel of routine in favour of a new creative direction.
And if you’re a paid subscriber I’ve also paused any payments until I have a clearer idea of how I can add enough value to earn your monthly show of appreciation for the work I create.
However things pan out I promise you that I’ll be back in your inbox refreshed and ready to go by 12th January 2024.
Cheers for all the support so far, it means a lot.
If you miss me over the Christmas period then have a read (or even a re-read) of the three pieces I’m most proud of from 2023:
Enjoy the break Charlie - you very much deserve it. Thanks for all your hard work and insights during the year.
